The UMAF is Raising Money for Charity

UMAF Charitable Venture - I Charity!

The Utica Music and Arts Fest is raising money for charity! We will be launching a unique Social Media Campaign, through which 100 percent of all proceeds will be donated to local and national non-profit organizations. We want to see philanthropy go viral.

The plan is to raise a pool of money through sponsorships and live events throughout the city during February, March and April 2010. Select non-profit organizations will receive donations from this, as a result of social networking partnerships with UMAF. Every organization involved will have a Facebook page and Twitter account designed, branded and developed in partnership between the selected agency and UMAF, specifically for this event.

Participating organizations can earn donations from posting links, sharing messages about the effort and encouraging others to do the same via Facebook, Twitter, blogs and YouTube. With a few simple clicks, each friend, follower or fan can share links to help raise money and play their part in making a difference- right from their own computer.

Applications from eligible non-profits will be accepted from January 15th through February 28th, 2010. Agencies which are accepted will be notified by March 15th. To apply for consideration as a UMAF Charity, please click this link.

If you would would like us to send you a downloadable pdf version to mail or email back please send inquiries to uticamusicfest@gmail.com. Applications will be reviewed and accepted by the Utica Music & Arts Fest.

If you're a venue, volunteer or performer and would like to be involved please contact Joe Sweet by email uticamusicfest@gmail.com or call 315-525-3651.

New UMAF Website

Last year we had a lot of fans coming to the site to check out the UMAF performers. They loved the featured artists section and videos but needed a better way to get around. So... after listening to user feedback we decided to move forward and make improvements to the existing site. Long story short... we realized we needed to build a different one that offered more features and easier navigation.
