WHEN IS THE UTICA MUSIC & ARTS FEST? (UMAF)

The UMAF is being held on September 16, 17, 18, 2010 in Utica, NY.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SUBMIT MY MUSIC?

It costs $20 for solo performers and $30 for bands or groups with more than one person.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY MUSIC?

You can submit your music online at www.uticamusicandartsfest.com. After you submit you will be emailed a submission form to fill out. If you have not received the form please check your spam filter first before calling or writing.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING?

The deadline for submitting is August 1st, 2010.

I WORK WITH SEVERAL ARTISTS. DO I HAVE TO SUBMIT SEPERATELY FOR EACH ONE?

Yes. You have to submit a separate application for each one and pay a separate submission fee for each artist.

I WORK WITH SEVERAL ARTISTS AND WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THEM PLAY ALL ON THE SAME NIGHT. CAN MY COMPANY HOST AN EVENING AT ONE OF THE VENUES?

Yes. You have to submit a separate application for each act then get in touch with us by emailing uticamusicfest@gmail.com. Because we get a lot of emails please title the subject line "Evening Showcase Request" so we don't miss your request. Please include the your list of acts in the email.

IF I GET ACCEPTED DO I HAVE TO BUY TICKETS TO THE FEST?

Every performing artist gets a complimentary registration bracelet and access to all UMAF Showcase events and parties.

IF I GET ACCEPTED WHERE DO I GET AN OFFICIAL UMAF REGISTRATION BRACELET?

You can get your Official UMAF bracelet at the Hotel Utica Registration Lounge when you check in.


WHEN WILL I KNOW IF I GET ACCEPTED?

Performers who submit the June 1st deadline will be notified by July 16st 2010. You will be notified by email. Due to a large volume of submissions we ask that you DO NOT contact us any sooner about confirmation unless it is to switch availability. If you have not heard from us by July 16th then by all means contact us. The best way to contact us is by emailing uticamusicfest@gmail.com. If you feel you aren't receiving emails from us please add our address to your spam filter's list of approved senders.

IS THERE ANY ARTIST COMPENSATION?

Every performing artist gets a complimentary registration and access to all UMAF Showcase events. Most artists play for exposure and can keep 100% of merch sales and tips unless otherwise agreed upon. Sometimes monetary compensation is possible, but by no means guaranteed.

WHERE CAN I FIND A HOTEL?

The Utica area offers a wide range of camping, motels, hotels, and bed & breakfasts. One of our official venues is The Hotel Utica (877.906.1912)
